Juliana Urtubey, NBCT is a bilingual, first-generation immigrant, who has worked throughout her career to serve as a mirror for her school community, helping students to be proud of their identities and families, and to acknowledge their strengths and contributions to the community.
Her students gave her the nickname “Ms. Earth” for her efforts to beautify schools and unify the community through murals and gardens. Juliana has coined the term “linguistically gifted” to honor the incredible linguistic gifts of her students and their families.
Sean is a special education leader and is passionate about using technology to improve student outcomes. Sean is the founder of Playground IEP, AI tools to improve IEP quality, caseload management efficiency, and progress monitoring processes. Playground IEP supports schools and educators in all 50 states as well as countries worldwide. Sean has a proven track record of designing technology tools to simply complex special education processes. He has led AI and technology workshops at the national level including for the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE).
