Dr. Igone Arteagoitia, a Linguist and Dual Language Bilingual Education Specialist at the Center for Applied Linguistics, delivers workshops, trainings, and a range of support services for teachers and administrators working with multilingual learners in dual language bilingual educational programs throughout the United States and internationally.
Dr. Sue is a seasoned educational leader and former Superintendent of Tigard-Tualatin and Springfield School Districts. She brings decades of experience in setting conditions for educational equity to achieve holistic, equitable outcomes for students. Dr. Sue specializes in aligning policy and practice to support systemic transformation, fostering collaboration among leaders, and creating inclusive environments that empower all students and communities. Her work emphasizes building systems where equity is not an add-on but a foundational principle for sustainable, meaningful change.
Dr. Zinnia Un brings over two decades of experience in education with a proven track record of transforming systems through policy development, continuous improvement, and accountability. As the Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Multilingual Services for the Tigard-Tualatin School District, Dr. Un develops frameworks and strategies to serve students furthest from justice, fostering equitable practices that are humanizing, culturally competent, and rooted in collectivism.
