This half-day intensive training is focused on helping staff who are newer to the Corvallis Model of Integrated Mental Health Care. If you have not heard of the model, or have seen initial presentations but are not yet engaged in development in your district - this work training is for you. The training will focus on the philosophy and first steps to deploy an integrated mental health program in your district, regardless of size.

Lori has serve in the St. Helens School District for the past 23 years as a Special Education Teacher, a Special Education Coordinator, and for the past 8 years as the Director of Student Services. Her passion is working and advocating for students who have been historically marginalized.  As the Director, she supports Special Education, 504 Plans, English Language Learners, and Nursing Services. She oversees the district’s Title I-A, II-A, and IV-A Plans.

Sean serves works in Bend La Pine Schools, where he has served in special education administration for the past 10 years.  His current role is Executive Director for Student Services in Bend – La Pine Schools.  Sean worked as a school psychologist in his early career and supported the planning and implementation of RtI for eligibility for Specific Learning Disability.  He has continued to advocate for and support the expansion of MTSS as a pathway for school improvement and decision making.  Sean’s later work has involved the integration of trauma informed practices into

Danielle serves in Beaverton School District School, where she has worked for the last 10 years. Her current role is Executive Administrator for Student Services.  In the early years of Danielle's career, she worked as a 5th grade teacher and then an elementary Special Education teacher.

Erica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Spanish. She has a Master’s degree in Special Education and both Educational Leadership licenses. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Special Education. Erica’s teaching background is with individuals who experience multiple and complex disabilities, with an emphasis in autism spectrum disorder. She is currently the Special Services Director for the Mt. Angel School District where she supports all students who require additional services to access general education.

Lisa DeSalvio is an experienced educator and an expert in special education and serving students with unique needs. She has served as the director of special programs in the Coos Bay School District since 2005. She has a tremendous range of experience, and currently administers Title I, ID, IV, III, Indian Education, and Special Education. Ms. DeSalvio received National Board Certification for Exceptional Needs in 2002.

Moderator Kevin Caroll, Student Services Director from McMinnville School District, will guide the conversation and take questions from the audience on both the pressing and day-to-day issues and strategies that help Special Education Directors keep focused on meeting the needs of students, supporting staff, and building partnerships with families.
